1993

I think this was the first year that Alison Groom was Principal. The school Board imported Alison from England. She lived in a house at the back of the school that was ultimately demolished to make way for the road required when Wardle House was built over the road that separated the two schools. The residents had to exit via an alternative route.

Just received a wonderful email from a past student from this year. Cate Mascari (nee Picking) An award in Cate's name is still presented at Speech Night.

"I currently live in Chicago and have been living in Illinois for 20 years since I graduated from Toorak.  I just finished up 9 years teaching choir to inner city Chicago kids in Chicago Public Schools, and I'm in the process of looking for a new adventure.  (Not sure what yet, but it's exciting to be exploring new possibilities.)  My husband is also a Chicago Public School teacher, and my two wonderful children, Ariana and Leith, are young budding violinists (and terrific kids)."
