1998

1998 was the year that my daughter started at Toorak College. She had the greatest bunch of friends that she is still in contact with today. I think that is the secret to a successful time in secondary school. Good supportive friends that want to have fun but also want to do well at school. Emily Jones (daughter of Sue) was Kiah's mentor in Hamilton. Kiah loved Emma and how much she cared for her. A fun staff: Peter Coombs (now Principal in Netherlands) Phil Schmidt, Nat Todaro, Jane Myers, Warrick Wynne, Alan Smith (Network Manager), Maree D, Satomi, Pottz, Geoof Hooper, Chris M and Faye Cheatley. This was also the first year that I was no longer a Head of Year. I was now called something like 'Communications Coordinator'. Basically I made the timetable, coordinated the reporting and I also made the Staff and Student Intranet. In Term 2 I took LSL and travelled around the west coast of Australia and down through the centre with my family. When we returned, I started building our 4th home at Rye.
