2000

The year that I taught my future Daughter-in-Law, Lucy Johns. She married my son Michael in 2012 in Bali. I taught Lucy in Year 10 and Year 11. Lucy went on to become an Accountant and now helps run the Redhill Bakery along with her sister Jess and her parents. Kristy Peters was also in that class and when we were in Bali, Kristy paddled up to say hi. She now works in Singapore. In my Year 12 class was Emma Carrington, daughter of Julie, who went on to become an Anaesthetist. Vanessa Kelly, who lived near me in Rye, went on to become an Engineer. She wrote me some amusing emails while she was at Uni. Neda Jamshidi was also in my Year 12 class. I think I taught every Jamshidi including tutoring their male cousin, Askan. I also taught the Year 7 Maths Extension program to Katherine Bullard, Ebony Leach and Eleanor McCombe. Eleanor would eventually appear in my Year 12 class a few years later.

Kiah on the Surf-Life Saving team
In 2016, a staff member put a large collection of Tute photos onto the table in the staff room. I came across this photo of Kiah's Tute.
Many of these girls still remain Kiah's best friends today. Row 3: Claire and Amy went over to WA to celebrate Kiah's 30th Birthday. Claire works in the Government and has recently moved back to Victoria after living in Canberra for many years. Row 2: Georgia has just had her second child, Pip is a mad rock-climber and dropped into Kiah's farm with her parents recently. Row 1: Laura is a Doctor in Adelaide, Stacey is also a Doctor in Adelaide and has just had her first child. Shelley is a Lawyer and still loves the surf.
